Last updated: 14 October 2026
Re-entry is built to help you understand where your experience could take you next. To do that, we need to know a little about you. We think you should be just as clear about what happens to that information.
Who we are
Re-entry is a career intelligence platform that helps people understand how their experience translates into career opportunities, earning potential and possible next moves. Questions about your personal information can be sent to hello@re-entry.co.uk.
What information we collect
When you use Re-entry, we may collect your name and email address; current and previous roles; industry and experience; skills, responsibilities and achievements; salary expectations; location and working preferences; career goals and priorities; assessment answers; and feedback you choose to provide.
We also collect limited technical and usage information such as pages visited, interactions with the platform, device and browser information and referral information.
How we use your information
We use your information to provide personalised Re-entry results; understand your experience and identify potential career directions; provide salary and career-market information; identify relevant live job opportunities; send your results and information directly related to them; understand how people use Re-entry; improve the platform; diagnose technical problems; and keep the service working properly.
We don't sell your personal information or build recruiter databases.
Career intelligence and recommendations
Re-entry uses technology and career-market information to analyse the information you provide and identify career directions that may be relevant to you. This may include automated processing to help identify patterns, transferable skills, salary ranges, potential roles and job opportunities.
These recommendations are designed to help you explore your options. They are not employment decisions and do not determine whether you can apply for, obtain or succeed in a particular role. You should always use your own judgement when making career or financial decisions.
Analytics and session recording
We use analytics tools, currently including PostHog and Google Analytics, to understand how people use Re-entry and where we can improve the experience. These tools may collect information about how you navigate and interact with Re-entry.
We configure assessment inputs so their contents are excluded from session recordings. Recordings are used to understand usability and improve the product, not to monitor individual users. Optional analytics can be controlled through our cookie controls.
Who we share information with
We use trusted service providers to operate Re-entry, including providers for website hosting and infrastructure, analytics, email, data storage, product and career intelligence, automation and technical services. They may process information on our behalf where necessary to provide their services.
We don't sell your personal information. We don't provide your personal details to recruiters or employers unless we clearly tell you and you choose to do so.
Our lawful basis
Depending on how you interact with Re-entry, we process personal information where it is necessary to provide the service you've asked us to provide, where we have a legitimate interest in operating, securing and improving Re-entry, or where you have given consent and consent is required. Where processing is based on consent, you can withdraw that consent.
How long we keep your information
During early access, we retain assessment responses and associated Re-entry results while they are useful for providing the service, improving Re-entry and understanding how the product performs. We won't keep identifiable personal information indefinitely where we no longer have a reason to retain it.
You can ask us to delete your information at any time by emailing hello@re-entry.co.uk.
Your rights
Depending on the circumstances, UK data protection law gives you rights over your personal information, including the right to access information we hold about you; correct inaccurate information; request deletion; restrict or object to certain processing; receive certain information in a portable format; and withdraw consent where we rely on consent.
Contact hello@re-entry.co.uk to exercise these rights. You can also complain to the UK Information Commissioner's Office if you're unhappy with how your information has been handled.
International processing
Some technology providers we use may process information outside the UK. Where this happens, we take appropriate steps to ensure personal information receives appropriate protection in accordance with UK data protection law.
Changes to this policy
Re-entry is still evolving, so the way we use information may evolve too. If we make material changes, we'll update this page and the date above.
